Jurnal Sosiologi Andalas is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Laboratory of Sociology, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Andalas, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. This journal aims to facilitate academic discussion about relevant sociological issues, especially on conflict and community development for an inclusive society, which includes organization, extractive industry, multicultural society, sustainable economic management of natural resources and extractive industry, community empowerment, community resilience, family and social transformation, cultural transformation and new media, education and social transformation, development policy analysis and social movement.

Jurnal Sosiologi Andalas have cooperation with Asosiasi Program Studi Sosiologi Indonesia (APPSI) No. 02/JSA-Unand/2/2019 in February 4th, 2019 and Ikatan Sosiologi Indonesia (ISI) No.10/JSA-Unand/04/2021 in April 5th, 2021. Link MoU APPSI can download here and link MoU ISI here.

JSA is accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Indonesia and indexed in Science and Technology Index (SINTA) grade 2.
