Peer-Review Policy
The editorial Team will initially look into the manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Sosiologi Andalas. The editor will verify whether the manuscripts are following author guidelines and the focus and scope. If the manuscript meets the requirements, it is sent to peer-reviewers to assess whether its content is scientifically sound.
The review processes will be carried out using a double-blind peer-review method, which means that the author and reviewers do not know each other. For each manuscript, at least two reviewers will evaluate the manuscript's contents. If for any reason, the assigned reviewers were less satisfied with the manuscript, other reviewers would be assigned (as long as the recommendation is not rejecting the manuscripts). Reviewers' notes are passed on to the authors to amend their manuscripts accordingly.
Based on the final recommendations from reviewers, the editor will decide whether to publish or reject the manuscript. Should the revisions be needed, authors are expected to follow the reviewers' recommendations. The editor will then make further decisions based on the final manuscripts from the author. If necessary, a second or further review rounds/processes can be carried out until a final decision is made.
